*CFP* "POLITICAL COMMUNICATION", SPECIAL ISSUE, CONTRATEXTO JOURNAL

Contratexto is an Open Access refereed academic journal published by the Faculty of Communication at the University of Lima every six months, with emphasis on the field of communication and related branches. It edits articles, research papers, essays and bibliographical reviews in Spanish, Portuguese and English.

The 36th edition of Contratexto will address the new forms of communication education: extended classroom. This concept refers to the new pathways to emit messages and content through the use of media in the processes of teaching and learning. Thus, surpassing the barriers of the behaviorist framework, promoting disruptive, critical and creative thinking.

Dossier editors: Franahid D’silva (Universidad Nacional Abierta, Venezuela) and Mariana Gabriela Torres (Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia Austral, Argentina).

  • The social transformation communication education and the society of knowledge. 
  • Extended classroom: significance, experiences and challenges. 
  • Assesment and quality of education under the scope of the extended classroom. 
  • New semantic codes for communication education. 
  • Communication education: new messages and new receptors; extended classroom and inclusiveness. 
  • Educators’ resistance to change. 
  • Variables on the extended classroom, inverse classroom, teletraining. 
  • Research and communication education in a multicultural context. 
  • Research on new languages, new ways and prospects of communication education. 
  • Development of competencies for innovative experiences from within the extended classroom. 
  • Teaching and learning processes outside the classroom. 
  • New communication education onthology: The educational potential of social media as tools for student-teacher interaction. 
  • Legal frameworks and public policies linked to the possibilities for educative transformation. 
  • Extended classroom: Systematization of experiences, strategies and initiatives in communication education. 
  • New theoretical developments in communication education. 
  • Teacher and other communication education professionals training and the extended classroom. 
  • Disadvantages and shortcomings of the extended classroom regarding the legal frameworks for Ibero-American education. 
  • Mobile learning, tablet learning, educational platforms, LMS, MOOC, new perceptions of technology for learning and knowing (TAC), entrepreneurship and participating (TEP).

In addition to this thematic dossier, we accept submissions in the general field of communication. The deadline for these is also May 15th, papers submitted after that date WILL NOT be reviewed for the next number, instead, they will be queued for subsequent editions.
