Topic of this edition: Indian Cinema

11-12 May 2021, Online

 

The CoICi 2021 invites abstracts on research on Indian Cinema (Bollywood or other Indian film industries). It is an excellent platform for researchers, teachers, professionals, as well as doctoral and master degree students to present, share, discuss and publish their research work.

The I Conference on International Cinema will be held, from 11 to 12 May 2021, at University Complutense of Madrid (Spain), one of the most prestigious universities in Spain and the Hispanic world.

The main goal of this conference is to be an international space to academic discussions on cinemas from different parts of the world, as well as on similar narratives forms as television series.

This conference is directed to researchers, professors, professionals and PhD and Master Degree students who are interested in communicate and share their contribution to the study of cinema.

It is opened to any research approaches, qualitative or quantitative; focused on content or form; or those that address methodological questions.

This edition is dedicated to the Cinema of India, one of the most relevant film industries in the world. Even if Bollywood is its most recognizable industry, there are many others in different languages and regions, with significant quality and economic impact.

 

Proposals

Deadline to submit abstract proposals: 10 April 2021

Submitproposals.

Languages: Spanish and English.

Each proposal must include:

  • Title
  • Abstract (200-5
  • Keywords (at least, 3 keywords)

Proposals must be related to the topic of this edition: Indian cinema. And may be sent in English or Spanish.

Public notification of results: 19 April 2021

Once accepted by the scientific committee of the Conference, to finish the registration process, authors must make a payment of 30 euros.

Payment is made by author, not by communication.

Presentations will not be published until the payment has been made by all the authors who sign the communication.

 

Presentations

All communications will be presented online, with the videoconference tolos provided by University Complutense of Madrid. Duration of presentations: 15 minutes.

 

Publication

Presenters can publish their communication as a chapter of a digital book published by Fragua (SPI (Scholarly Publishers Indicators) 2018 Communication. The final text will be peer reviewed before publication.

Presenters which communications address methodological questions related to Indian Cinema, may publish the presentation in the journal Communication & Methods (Latindex, Dialnet, WorldCat), after being reviewed by the journal reviewers.
