*CFP* CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS, IX INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ART AND THE CITY

We are pleased to send you some information regarding the IX International Conference on Art and the City. They are organized by the Research Group "Art, Architecture and Communication in the Contemporary City", from the Complutense University of Madrid, in collaboration with the “Department of History of Art and Heritage”, from the “Higher Council for Scientific Research” (CSIC).

The conferences will be held on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of April 2020 at the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid (Madrid, Spain).

We would like to invite you to participate with your scientific contributions in this discussion forum that offers the following thematic lines:

1. City and representations: Images, imaginary and urban memory. 
2. City, cinema and audio-visual culture. 
3. Smart Cities, sustainability and new technologies. 
4. Urban labs: collaborative practices and social networks. 
5. City and Brand: City Branding. 
6. Creative cities and cultural industries. 
7. Modern city and mass media. 
8. Arts, cultural management and social space. 
9. Arts, artists and public space. 
10. Contemporary art, heritage and city. 
11. Historic urban landscape. 
12. Cultural Districts and urban revitalization. 
13. Policies and cultural institutions. 
14. Contemporary architectural and urban dynamics. 
15. New equipment and cultural enclaves: neighbourhood, district, territory.

The deadline to submit your abstract proposals is on the 16th of December 2019. Abstracts must be submitted through this link.

Official languages of the conferences: Spanish and English although the event will be done in Spanish and simultaneous translation will not be provided.
