*CFP* "CULTURAL HISTORIES, CREATIVE FUTURES 2019", A JOINT BRITISH - SINO INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

A Joint British – Sino International Conference
July 15th to 16th 2019

There is no past we can bring back by longing for it. There is only an eternal now that builds and creates out of the past something new and better - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The Cultural Histories, Creative Futures conference will bring together scholars from the UK and China to engage with the past, present and future of scholarship in culture, history, and creativity.

The conference will play an important role in the further promotion of a UK-China discussion of culture, history, and creativity. It is a major international conference where scholars from two continents will gather to exchange research, views, and insights. Organized and hosted by Winchester School of Art, the Cultural Histories, Creative Futures conference builds on former conferences held every other year in the UK and China. Previous conferences have taken place in Nanjing, China, and Winchester, UK.

Submit your proposal before 24:00, 31st January 2019 (UK time). The call for paper proposals is now open. Please submit an 250-1000-word abstract to Dr Yuanyuan Yin at the following email address: y.yin@soton.ac.uk.
