The conference seeks to explore the past and current status of gender
identity around the world, to examine the ways in which society is shaped by
gender and to situate gender in relation to the full scope of human affairs.
The conference is addressed to academics, researchers and professionals
with a particular interest related to the conference topic. We invite proposals
from various disciplines including history, sociology, political studies,
anthropology, culture studies and literature. The language of the conference is
English.
Papers are invited on topics related, but not limited, to:
- gender equality
- women’s rights and women’s history
- gender and education
- women and leadership
- women’s and men’s health
- gender and sexuality
- gender and religion
- gender and literature
Proposals up to 250 words and a brief biographical note should be sent
