*CFP* “UNIVERSAL ACCESS AND DIGITAL EMPOWERMENT OF CITIZENS FACING THE INEQUALITY GAP”, TRIPODOS, MONOGRAPHIC ISSUE

We invite all fellow researchers to participate in the monographic issue on Universal Access and Digital Empowerment of Citizens Facing the Inequality Gap. New Forms of Dialogue and Participation of Trípodos, the international scholarly journal published by the Blanquerna School of Communication and International Relations at Ramon Llull University (Spain).

Until very recently the global discourse and strategies regarding social inequality were directly related to, among other things, the gap between citizens in terms of digital access to technological resources and infrastructure. According to the most recent international reports, nowadays this has changed and, while the digital divide continues to grow and is equally worrisome, now the focus is on the use of technology. This monograph approaches the issue from a specifically Euro-American viewpoint with the intention to contribute to the analysis and discussion of the theoretical, practical and empirical research aspects of the issue, not just regarding the need for universal access to technology, but particularly the urgent need for a truly technologically empowered citizenship through digital literacy.

Papers should be sent by the 10th January 2020. In order to submit original papers, authors must be registered with the journal as authors. Following this step, authors must enter their user name and password, activated in the process of registering, and begin the submission process. In step 1, they must select the section “Monograph”.

Rules and instructions regarding the submission of originals can be downloaded at Trípodos. For any queries, please contact the editorial team of the journal at tripodos@blanquerna.url.edu.
