*CFP* "JOURNALISM FROM LEGACY TO TRANSMEDIA", CHAPTER BOOK

International chapter submissions are invited for inclusion in this forthcoming book to be published by Common Ground Publishing’s Communication and Media Studies Book Imprint in mid-2020.

The five volume series Transmedia Journalism explores the discipline, its history and international role. Building on scholarship in transmedia studies, the first four volumes will be edited collections containing 12-15 chapters, and the final volume will be a monograph covering best practices and ethics.

Volume 1, Journalism from Legacy to Transmedia examines the academic foundation and history of transmedia journalism in relation to legacy media, social media, transmedia storytelling, and transmedia studies.

Volume 2, Activism and Audience focuses on audience interaction with the mediated nodes of deployment and the use of transmedia journalism in social justice activism.

Volume 3, Transmedia Journalism and the Global Square looks at global audiences and interactivity, global social media connections, English language hegemony and international media outlets, as well as the role of transmedia journalism in governmental international relations, military conflicts, and person-to-person connections.

Volume 4, Politics and Pundits examines the relationship between transmedia journalism and politics. Covering the connections between transmedia journalism and both domestic and international politics, it will include topics such as fake news, political pundits, reality politics, and social media.

Volume 5, Practicing Transmedia Journalism will be a multi-author volume covering best practices in transmedia journalism production models and journalism ethics in the transmedia landscape. The authors will be selected from those participating in the four prior volumes. The final volume will be developed as a pedagogical tool to be used in transmedia journalism courses.
