The Department of Media and Journalism Studies, Aarhus University,
Denmark, in conjunction with the Department of Communication Studies, Moi University, Kenya, is co-hosting the seminar Critical Perspectives on Everyday
Media Uses and Social-Cultural Change in Contemporary Africa. The aims of the
seminar are to present empirical findings on the interrelationship between
changing media ecologies and socio-cultural changes and to discuss theoretical
and methodological challenges studying these changes. Finally, the seminar will
include a panel on North-South research collaborations.

consideration for the purpose of presenting the same at the two-days seminar.

for their own accommodation and travel expenses.

Accepted abstracts will be notified no later than October 8. Any inquiries
related to the conference can be directed to Poul Erik Nielsen
(imvpen@cc.au.dk).
